Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and honey or maple syrup if using. Whisk together until well combined.
Add the trimmed asparagus to the bowl, tossing until each spear is evenly coated in the lemon-garlic mixture.
Spread the asparagus out in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are not crowded.
Season the asparagus with salt and pepper to taste.
Roast in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the asparagus is tender and slightly caramelized.
If using, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese during the last 3 minutes of roasting, allowing it to melt slightly.
Remove from the oven and transfer the asparagus to a serving platter.
Garnish with lemon wedges for added flair and a fresh squeeze if desired.
Notes
