4slicesthick bread (brioche or challah recommended)
0.5cupNutella
2largeeggs
0.25cupmilk
1teaspoonvanilla extract
0.5teaspoonground cinnamon
1tablespoonbutter (for frying)
nonePowdered sugar (for dusting)
noneFresh strawberries or banana slices (for topping)
noneMaple syrup (for drizzling)
Instructions
Start by preparing the bread: Lay out 2 slices of thick bread and spread a generous layer of Nutella on each of them. Place the other 2 slices on top to create Nutella sandwiches.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter, allowing it to melt and coat the pan.
Carefully dip each Nutella sandwich into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides thoroughly without soaking them. Let any excess egg mixture drip off.
Place the coated sandwiches on the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.
Once cooked, remove from the skillet and place on a plate. Dust generously with powdered sugar.
Serve warm with fresh strawberries or banana slices on top and drizzle with maple syrup.
